Microsoft Edge browser now available for iOS and Android
Microsoft has officially released its Edge browser for Android and iOS devices, a month after unveiling its beta version last month to receive feedback from the Windows Insider Preview community.
On an Android smartphone, the new app takes up 167MB of space, which is as much as what the Chrome browser takes up post installation. The launch will help existing Edge users on Windows 10 to have a smoother browsing experience on mobile. And the new final version comes with some newly added features that come as add-ons to the already available feature. Roaming Passwords are now on-board, giving users the ability to sync passwords cross platform on mobile and desktop. It has also introduced a Dark theme for mobile devices.
Manage a single list of user accounts in the preferences of the app. Microsoft is looking to Continue on PC to help keep Windows PCs relevant in a world where more and more computing is done on mobile devices. The Redmond, Washington-based company is now rolling out the stable version of its Edge browser to the users – both iOS and Android. The multi-tasking icon shows all your tabs side by side on a single window. You can change the entire theme’s background by selecting the theme option so you can see things easily in night mode.
It does have the basics, mind, like Reading Lists, Favorites, etc. Microsoft Edge will pull up the reading and information right onto your screen.
The company announced the mobile version of its Internet Explorer successor has passed through the preview stage and is now available for download on Android and iOS. With this feature, one can share any website, app, photo, video or anything else with their Windows 10 PC with a less time-consuming.
