There have been a number of leaks surrounding the Microsoft Lumia 950 and its bigger sibling, the Lumia 950 XL, and recently, it was revealed that the devices would be priced along the lines of the current iPhone 6s lineup.
These rumors will be proven as the Microsoft unveils the price and features of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL to the market anytime soon.
Images have leaked of what’s claimed to be the new Lumia 550 from Microsoft showing off the latest Windows 10 operating system.
A user of Chinese social media website Weibo has leaked screenshots of the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 950XL running on an unreleased build of Windows 10 Mobile.
The Lumia 950 will sport a 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 424 ppi. The Lumia 550 packs a 5-inch 720p display, an unnamed quad-core Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, 8GB of storage with microSD support, 1GB of RAM and a 1905mAh battery. All in all we will have to wait until October to see Microsoft out its newest tablet, its newest flagship device and the Band 2.
The expensive pricing of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will also include free accessories worth 200 euro (around AUD $313) such as Continuum docking station and wireless charger. While the company is expected to release its own set of smartphones, it is also working with manufacturers to produce third-party devices that run the OS.
Microsoft Lumia 550 on the other hand, will be an affordable Windows 10 device. It is also equipped with port for an independent power supply to charge the devices. The device’s screen size is still expected to be 5.7-inch.
No official word yet on when Microsoft will formally introduce the Surface Pro 4.
Apart from the satisfying 32 GB storage, it will have a micro SD slot and cameras of 20 MP Pureview rear and 5 MP selfie cam. Based on the recommendations, if Microsoft were to release a smaller Surface tablet, it seems more likely that the company would make an 8-inch tablet with an x86 processor.
