Microsoft Lumia 650 Officially Released – Know The Details
Microsoft opted to launch the Lumia 650 outside the United States because consumers in the U.S. prefer new flagship devices that can easily compete with products running on iOS and Android platforms.
Microsoft on Monday unveiled its latest Windows 10 Mobile device, the Lumia 650.
“We designed the Lumia 650 to bring first class to business class; giving our customers the best of Microsoft productivity and security”, Hänninen wrote.
Microsoft Lumia 650 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The Lumia 650 feels slim and light in weight by measuring 142 x 70.9 x 6.9 mm and weighing 122 grams.
The Microsoft Lumia 650, which will be released in Europe soon, and will be available to all major carriers in Italy once it launches. It can also sync content between Windows 10 devices via OneDrive. No word on a Lumia 650 XL/Lumia 850 as of now.
After a number of rumors for some time now, Microsoft has officially announced the Microsoft Lumia 650. Priced at a suggested retail price of $199 (approximately Rs. 13,500) before local taxes and subsidies, the smartphone will go on sale in select European markets starting Thursday. In particular, the phone lacks biometric authentication and doesn’t support Windows 10 Mobile’s Continuum feature that lets you hook up the phone to a mouse, keyboard, and screen to use it in a desktop-like way. The decision to halt Lumia production came after Microsoft incurred loss in Windows phones business.
So far, Windows 10 runs 200 million devices, though the contribution from Windows 10 Mobile devices remains minimal with Lumia shipments at 4.5 million in its most recent quarter. With a pixel density of 297ppi, Lumia 650 equips 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 200GB via microSD card). The secondary snapper is a wide angel 5 megapixel camera, capable of video recording in 720p resolution. Connectivity features include 2G/3G/4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou.
