Microsoft Releases Windows 10 Cumulative Update (KB3081424)
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) recently revealed a list of the Lumia models that will be the first to get updates to the latest Windows 10 Mobile OS.
The new Microsoft kb3081424 download has just started to roll out, and is not the SR1 (Service Release 1) that was hinted in the first place.
Mozilla CEO Chris Beard has lashed out at Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in a blog post, criticising the company for making it hard for users to change the default browser in the new Windows 10.
The issue is that unwanted drivers are being installed by Windows 10 which conflicts with hardware and hey presto… problem. Microsoft provides these details: “When you interact with your Windows device by speaking, writing (handwriting), or typing, Microsoft collects speech, inking, and typing information-including information about your Calendar and People (also known as contacts)-that helps personalize your experience”. You must restart the computer once the update is installed for the changes to take effect. Same goes with Windows 10 Pro, though Pro users can opt to put them off for eight months. The SR 1 was widely rumoured to hit Windows 10 in the first week of August.
The new platform for worldwide web users has finally been launched, with 190 countries welcoming Windows 10 and millions of users receiving upgrades to the full OS. If you build a new computer after the cut-off date (29 July 2016), then you’ll have to purchase a brand-new copy of Windows 10.
From the “Sync your settings” view you will be able to completely turn off Sync settings if you wish to keep all of your settings specific to that one device.
There are no new features in this update, but it does contain a ton of small fixes, so you should notice better overall stability and performance.
Windows 10 has a built-in feature that allows you to go back to your old operating system.
