Microsoft’s upcoming Lumia 940, 940XL to be priced higher than iPhone 6
Now a new rumor has emerged which suggests that its forthcomings Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL with super high-end specs will cost more than the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6.
Recently, Samsung-centric website SamMobile cited Korean website Blog of Mobile which reported that Galaxy Tab S2 models have received certification from Radio Research Agency (RRA), the Korean agency affiliated with the Korean Communications Commission (KCC), which is an agency equivalent to FCC in the US.
Along with Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL, Microsoft might announce a few other Window 10 smartphones that will probably be available for purchase by the end of the year.

Along with the high-end flagship phones, an earlier report also claimed that there will be also be two phones that are considered to be middle-range to upper-range that will be unveiled.
However unlike old Lumias, the forthcoming Lumia 940 and 940 XL will reportedly costlier than ever before. Under the hood, the Lumia 940 will reportedly pack a Snapdragon 808, 3GB RAM, 3000 mAh battery and 32GB internal memory, while the Lumia 940 XL will have a Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM, a larger 3300 mAh battery and 32GB memory storage as well. It is rumoured to have 5MP front camera and 20MP rear camera with double LED flash that takes well in low light places.
Earlier in July, TechTimes reported the probable specifications of the upcoming Lumia 940XL handset as it will sport a 5.7-inch display size with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, featuring the upgraded Quad HD type display. The device is rumored to feature the same front and rear shooter as the 940. However, an additional adapter will be required to enable this Continuum feature.
The news came from known industry leaker Evan Blass, with Twitter handle @evleaks, who claimed that Microsoft has not just one but six smartphones in development and that these new phones are expected to carry the name of the Windows 10 for mobile operating system.
Microsoft has published a purported image of the Lumia 940, and for the first time, Microsoft has moved towards the metallic casing which ultimately turned into a slimmer dimension.
