Microsoft says Windows 10 is on 14 million devices

Immediately after officially releasing its new Windows 10 operating system for PCs and tablets in India, Microsoft has now listed the pricing for the full version of the software.

On the day of release, Akamai reported that internet traffic was 35 percent higher than normal on July 29, with the upgrade being 3.5GB in size.

Windows 8, the predecessor of Windows 10, sold 100 million licenses in the first 6 months and 200 million licenses in the first 15 months after the operating system’s launch.

And fret not – if you did reserve your upgrade prelaunch, you’ll be notified once your PC is ready for Windows 10 to be installed. According to Microsoft’s marketing boss Yusuf Mehdi, the company is completely focusing over the clock to ensure each and every one who had reserved an upgrade to Windows 10 receives it over the coming days and week.

Before ending it here let me assure you that Microsoft is working on the fixes and they are even encouraging users to report bugs and provide feedback so that new updates can be rolled out as soon as possible.

Microsoft is pushing Windows 10 in the market, and while you could simply compare figures between operating systems, it is not entirely fair to do so.
