Microsoft Surface Book launch is a “Thunder” in the laptop market
Aside from the new Microsoft Surface Book, the tech giant unveiled during the said event a few very enticing smartphones that fit both the budget and stylish needs of most smartphone users, not to mention its functionality coupled with the Microsoft Windows 10. The Surface book features a 13.5-inch display and it detaches from its dynamic fulcrum hinge, and can be used as a Windows 10 tablet without the rest of the computer.
The Lumia 950 will have less powerful hexa-core processors, though it will have the same RAM and internal storage options.
Windows 10 is set to be a universal OS that’ll not only be on PCs, but it’ll also be on smartphones, tablets, and even the Xbox One.
And while the Surface Book is called a laptop, the screen is detachable so that it effectively becomes a tablet.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) CEO Satya Nadella claims that its first self-produced laptop, the Surface Book, is twice as fast as Apple Inc. “We want to make these the most productive devices on the planet”. The updated Surface Pro 4 is thinner and faster than its predecessor, the Surface Pro 3, with a new Type Cover and Surface Pen. In addition, about three-fourths of the device’s battery life is stored in the keyboard. Its keyboard is backlit and provides a silent typing experience, while the glass trackpad beneath it has five points of touch sensitivity.
The new laptop is slated to go on sale beginning October. 26, Monday.
With the latest release of the laptop, Microsoft is looking forward compete with MacBook Pro and Lenovo Laptops which are among the most popular ones in the market today.
“I have been using the Surface Book and it blows me away”. With the price range from $1,499 to $2,699, the device looks really promising.
The Surface Pro 4 starts at $899, and will be available October 26.
According to a comment left on Facebook by Microsoft, “broad availability of Windows 10 on other devices, including mobile phones, will begin rolling out in December”.
