Microsoft Surface Pro 4 to launch in India on 7 January
We then switch over to hardware in October, with the new Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, alongside new Lumia devices and the Microsoft Band 2. The launch is scheduled for January 7, at a press event in New Delhi.
Surface Pro 4 incorporates a 12.3-inch wide display that has a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixel and a pixel density of 267 pixels per inch.
The invite confirms the launch of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 as it reads, “Start fresh on brand new surface”. The base version of the Surface Pro 4 is expected to cost anywhere between Rs 65,000 to Rs 70,000 which brings it to the vicinity of MacBook Air. It’s the best hybrid design yet and the first laptop that’ll seriously make you consider trading in your tablet, because it works well as both.
Originally announced at Windows 10 event in October, the Surface Pro 4 is Microsoft’s rival against Apple’s iPad Pro. It comes with a 0.4mm thick Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

The Surface Pro 4 is powered by Intel’s 6-generation Core processors (Core M3 to Core i7) and paired with Intel HD Graphics 515, Intel HD Graphics 520, or Intel Iris Graphics, depending on the variant that you choose. It offers SSD storage options going from 128GB all the way to 1TB.
The tablet is also equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie unit, and a battery that can last for up to nine hours on full charge.
Windows 10 Pro OS naturally comes out of the box giving you access to desktop class software.
For ease of typing, the Surface Pro 4 can be used with Type Cover with a glss trackpad, which has a more spacious keys on keyboard.
