Microsoft updates OneNote, combines iPhone and iPad app

iOS has had multitasking for quite a while now – apps can run (temporarily) in the background, and can even wake up and perform actions in the background. Siri will do the same in the iOS 9. Open Garden, maker of the FireChat messaging app, isn’t making its product searchable-at least, not yet-saying it doesn’t want companies like Google to have access to data on how many people use the app or what conversation topics are popular. If you haven’t designated an app for Slide Over, you’ll be prompted with a list of apps that are compatible with the feature.

Of course, along with being a text editor, Coda for iOS is also a full-blown and fast FTP app. Once you connect to a server, you can upload, download, duplicate, rename any of your files and Coda handles them graciously.

The giants of the Web have been pressing developers of mobile apps to index their content so it can be parsed by search engines or linked to from other sites. Swipe it away to the right to return the attention to your previous app.
