Middleton police: DNA leads to arrest of armed robbery suspect
Police have said Lamore is wanted in connection with a number of bank robberies and other unspecified offences across Ontario and should be considered violent. The first one took place on February 14 and the other happened on April 7.
Shortly after 10 p.m. police say the pair approached the Taco Bell through the neighborhood to the south, entered the store and demanded money. When the teller refused, the suspect fled on foot, police said. Detectives are also investigating a series of smash-and-grab burglaries that happened at the Winn Dixie plaza on USA 27 on April 6.
After gaining possession of the cellphone, the suspects uploaded photos to the victim’s cloud-based storage service, the warrant states. “He began to talk all about it in the cruiser”, said Ansonia Police spokesman Lt. Patrick Lynch.
Investigators say a robbery note and a quantity of cash allegedly from the robberies was found on the suspect at the time of his arrest.
Brigadier-General Francis Ofori, the General Officer Commanding the Northern Command, has expressed the hope that reintroduction of Operation Calm Life can be a panacea to ending recent spate of armed robberies in northern Ghana.
“It’s very possible. Again, our detectives will always follow up and compare and contrast any leads we have”, Iozzi said. Responding officers and a police K9 team attempted to locate the men; however, they were unsuccessful.
