Midfielder joins Birmingham on loan

Arsenal have now confirmed that midfield superstar Jon Toral has joined Birmingham City on a loan deal.

Fans will be watching Toral’s progress with interest although few feel that he will be able to make it in the Arsenal first team.

It will be the 20-year-old’s second spell with a Championship club, after he spent the entire 2014/15 campaign with Brentford.

He made 37 appearances for the Londoners, scoring six times including a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Blackpool.

Toral signed for the north London outfit from Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona in 2011 and is yet to make his first team debut for the Gunners, although he has 22 appearances for their Under-21 side. The midfielder has expressed his delight at joining the Championship club and is keen on helping the club have a successful season.

The midfielder is thought of very highly at the Emirates and he will look to continue to impress going into the 2015/16 season with Birmingham.
