Mighty No. 9 release date revealed
Mighty No. 9 was originally scheduled for release earlier this year, before seeing two delays that pushed it to 2016, both at the very last minute.
Mighty No. 9 has received (another) release date from Deep Silver and Comcept today. This has been amended for accuracy. In the video, lead composer Manami Matsumae plays part of the game’s Challenge Mode for the first time.
Created by Keiji Inafune and an all-star team of veteran devs, Mighty No. 9 is a challenging side-scrolling action game that transforms the feel of 8 and 16-bit classics, as players remember them, into a fresh modern-day classic. The Vita and 3DS ports will be released later at an unannounced date. “Currently, Comcept and their partners are working at full capacity to resolve these issues and fix any remaining bugs”.
After numerous delays, a few development hiccups and gamers less-than-enthused about some of the demo footage, Comcept U.S. has finally announced that the official release date for Mighty No. 9 has been set in stone for February 9th, 2016. “As a result of their progress, we are now able to officially announce our release date”, wrote Comcept in a Kickstarter update.
A special demo version of the game will be released on September 15 but the studio had also failed to do so.
The story is about robot Beck who is the only hope of humanity because the world’s machines are affected by a unusual computer virus.
