Mike Aviles’ Adorable Daughter Throws Out First Pitch At Indians Game
The Indians broadcasters said Aviles promised Adriana she could throw out the first pitch after they learned of her diagnosis in May.
In a heartwarming moment, Mike Aviles’s two daughters got to throw out the first pitch before Thursday night’s Indians-Yankees game.
This is notable in that one of the twins, Adriana Aviles – the other is her sister Maiya – was diagnosed with leukemia in May and is being treated at Cleveland Clinic. Owner Paul Dolan did the same in June, shaved bald by Aviles himself. And I think a lot of that has to do with all the support I’ve gotten.
She shined like a star and seemed to really enjoy the experience, with a proud papa beaming the entire time. “I know the first pitch is kind of, in baseball, is probably part of what is so cool about baseball”.
“The biggest thing for me is my joy comes from my kids”, Aviles said.
Aviles added on Thursday that above all the gestures the team has made in support of his family, what meant the most was how genuine Francona and General Manager Chris Antonetti were in allowing him to be there for his family when he was needed most. It’s important for you.’ But she’s just like, ‘No, I’m OK.
It’s fair to say there are no hard feelings around here for Mike Aviles of the Cleveland Indians.
