Mike Huckabee’s daughter: Negative tone in GOP race helps Clinton
The famously pugnacious governor said Trump owes him for paving the way when it comes to being outspoken. “It is my great honour to receive the endorsement of the Governor (Christie)”.
“Every time I think the campaign can’t get anymore interesting, it gets more interesting”, said Gov. Scott Walker.
Christie stayed behind after the news conference to introduce Trump at a rally with voters, calling him the next president of the U.S. Trump’s campaign said Christie will stump at a Trump rally in Oklahoma City on Friday night. Both Trump and Rubio are signaling they’re unwilling to cede Texas, the crown jewel of Tuesday’s voting, to Cruz, the home-state senator.
Trump accompanied his rollout of Christie with a stream of invective against Rubio as their debate night brawl spilled onto the campaign trail.
New Jersey governor Chris Christie has endorsed Donald Trump in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
Some analysts have up until now dismissed the possibility of a Trump nomination, but now many say he has a serious chance of winning the Republican Party (GOP) nomination.
I think that the Latino electorate is an electorate that votes policy. That was the case in Thursday’s debate, and it was the case again Friday, when Rubio pulled out his phone at a rally in Dallas to have a good chuckle with the crowd over Trump’s flaws.
But you look at what’s going on and you say, “Why are we doing these debates?”
The endorsement left some GOP strategists’ heads spinning, especially those who want to see Trump stopped.
“I think he’s come to the conclusion that Mr. Trump is likely to be the nominee… and I suspect Mr. Trump will remember those who got onboard at an important time”, Jeff Boeyink, who ran Christie’s Iowa campaign, told Mashable. “I’ve never seen a man sweat so much.” said Trump. When all five were asked about North Korea’s president, he said, “We should make sure that he knows that if he ever shoots a missile at us it’ll be the last thing he does”.
Sen. Michael Doherty said Christie’s endorsement of Trump on Friday should make it easier for Trump to win the June 7 New Jersey primary.
Trump added; “Once a choker, always a choker….”
SEN. MARCO RUBIO: He’s going to Americans that are struggling, Americans that are hurting, and he’s implying, “I’m fighting for you because I’m a tough guy”. “That’s the difference between a governor and (senator) Ted Cruz”. Christie said the candidate was acting like a “13-year-old” and stressed the move not only demonstrated his immaturity but lack of leadership as well.
Cruz took to Twitter on Friday, also mocking Trump’s debate performance – particularly on the issue of ObamaCare – and pointing out that while he was in the Senate wrestling over illegal immigration, Trump was “firing @dennisrodman on TV”, referring to the ex-NBA star’s participation on Trump’s reality show “The Apprentice“.
