Trout did not play in the Angels’ 3-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon. Although the club is nowhere near the American League playoff race, Trout has continued to receive a momentous amount of praise as an American League MVP candidate.
The five-time All-Star now owns a slash line of.319/.436/.562, which gives him a career-high OPS of.999.
