Milan refuse to improve Romagnoli bid
Premier League champions Chelsea are now in talks regarding a swap deal with Serie A outfit Roma, in order to sign Alessio Romagnoli in exchange for winger Mohamed Salah, according to reports.
It seems that AC Milan will not be able to fulfill Sinisa Mihajlovic’s personal wish to sign Alessio Romagnoli, as Roma have rejected the Rossoneri’s latest offer for the youngster.
The San Siro outfit have launched a €25million bid to try and capture the 20-year-old, who is now contracted to Roma until 2018.
Roma have reportedly told Milan they must increase their offer by a further €5m to have any chance of signing the Italy Under-21 worldwide, but Galliani says that will not happen.
The 20-year-old Italian global is in very high demand after a successful loan season at Italian club Sampdoria, and Romagnoli is one of the most promising defenders in European football.
“Our offer for Romagnoli is unchangeable”, Galliani said to Gazzetta dello Sport. Additionally, Romagnoli averaged 10 defensive actions per game so, judging by his statistics, it is no surprise he’s attracting such interest.
