Mild temperatures today, rain mixed with snow possible on Sunday
Dickerson says charts indicate that although we may not have seen snow in the valley, Montana is running in the 80 to 90 percent range for a healthy snowpack. Most of the day Tuesday will be nice with increasing cloudiness and highs around 40 degrees.
As high pressure builds in Monday, look for a mix of clouds and sunshine. Increasing clouds at night.
This could be a very turbulent time period with potentially two more coastal storms. A weak piece will arrive late Tuesday and into Wednesday morning.
It’s too early to know whether the precipitation associated with it will be rain or snow, but weather models now are showing it might be too warm for snow, said Sarah Johnson, a meteorologist with the NWS in Mount Holly. “The trend has been for the storm track to be more inland and warmer”.
Another storm could swing up the coast Wednesday night and Thursday with another round of rain or mixed precipitation.
