Military Times selects MSU as one of the ‘Best Colleges for Vets’
For the sixth consecutive year, Central Texas College (CTC) was named to the Military Times list of best colleges for military veterans.
ECPI University is pleased to announce it has been ranked number one once again by Military Times in its annual Best for Vets survey.
Military Times’ annual Best for Vets: Colleges survey asks colleges and universities to document services, rules, accommodation and financial incentives offered to students with military ties and to describe veteran campus culture.
Military Times and Victory Media surveyed universities about their policies and services to determine the institutions that would be recognized.
Grand valley also has the highest status from the MI Veterans Affairs Agency.
“We’re a better university when we have veterans, and our classrooms are better for all students when they include veterans because they bring talent and experience to our campus”, Gill said.
Elmira College announced today that it has been designated a 2016 Military Friendly® School by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs® and Military Spouse Magazine.
Rankings also are published the week of November 9 in issues of Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times. “We came up with the idea for this supportive and convenient, centralized location offering student veterans an opportunity to connect with each other and the University, with the hopes of improving student success”.
“Receiving this recognition from Military Times shows we at Oswego are able to implement all of the supports proven effective in helping veterans transition to college and to succeed once they get here”, said Ben Parker, veteran services coordinator and senior academic planning coordinator for the college’s Division of Extended Learning.

Niagara University also participates in the Department of Veterans Affairs GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.
This Wednesday, in observance of Veterans Day, the university will host a series of activities, including a keynote address from Vietnam War veteran Bob “Mr. Inspiration” Wieland.
Cape Fear Community College will hold a Veterans Day ceremony featuring comments from student and employee vets.
