‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ guest accused of domestic violence
BEVERLY HILLS-Authorities from the Beverly Hills Police Department arrested, John Bonavia, 31, of Los Angeles on September 12 after he assaulted a woman.
Because the woman was found in such a bad way – they chose to arrest an uncooperative Bonavia on suspicion of attempted murder.
According to his biography posted on his personal website, Bonavia was born in Washington DC and grew up in Maryland in the family of a school principal.
TMZ is reporting that a second Millionaire Matchmaker has been arrested, and this one for attempted murder.
Radar Online reported that John Bonavia’s legal problems in his past might be even more extensive than initially suggested, which asks the question, who screens these men on a show that sends them off on private dates with women?
John Bonavia, a financial advisor based in Los Angeles, claimed a small amount of fame after appearing on Bravo’s “Millionaire Matchmaker“, a popular reality TV show where host Patti Stanger sets up millionaires with prospective partners.
And earlier this month, another millionaire from “Millionaire Matchmaker” was charged with forcible rape, rape by use of drugs, forcible oral copulation, sexual penetration by a foreign object and attempted sodomy by use of force, and 2 counts of administering drugs to commit rape.
At around that same time, he assaulted a woman in Hollywood.
John Bonavia has been in trouble with the law before. In May 2014 – a couple months after his episode of MM aired – he was arrested when his then-girlfriend accused him of biting, punching, and chocking her! The former participant worth $12.3 million was arrested after luring woman in his Sherman Oaks home.
He was arrested again in November of a year ago in Arlington, Virginia, on charges of drunk in public and curse and abuse.
Just a few weeks back, a man named Michael Bernback, who appeared on the show, was accused of multiple rapes.
