According to AAA, almost 49 million Americans will travel for Thanksgiving, that’s the most expected travelers in nine years. We’ve seen a lot of people traveling throughout the year, and this Thanksgiving shouldn’t be any different.
In Tennessee alone, 1 million people are expected to drive to their holiday destinations. The announcement was part of the annual Thanksgiving Day travel report.
The holiday travel period is Wednesday through Sunday.

AAA has been studying Thanksgiving travel trends for the past 16 years.
