Minneapolis police shooting vids won’t be released
They are unleashing something they don’t understand.
According to a tweet, officers fired a marking round-essentially paint-which was meant to hit a man who was throwing bricks.
Tensions ran higher Wednesday night as a chemical irritant was used on demonstrators and on police.
Police spokesman John Elder said that police are withholding the identity of the woman and details about her condition because “it is tied into the officer incident”.
Montana Filoteo, a gender, women and sexuality studies junior from the University, said she came to the precinct after Black Lives Matter called for backup to keep the group from being pushed out of the space by law enforcement. Jamar Clark was shot and killed… A few protesters had been sleeping in the precinct vestibule.

Police in Minneapolis are taking down tents set up by protesters outside a north Minneapolis precinct following the weekend shooting of an unarmed black man. The fire was quickly re-lit.
Schwarze also became a Minneapolis officer in September 2014.
Reports indicate that the move came after police received calls from people who were unable to access the police precinct Wednesday to make reports. They are Mark Ringgenberg and Dustin Schwarze, each with seven years of experience. A few protesters blocked our KSTP news crews who were there reporting on the events.
A small group of protesters had demonstrated on Interstate 94 earlier in the week, resulting in the arrest of 51 people according to The Associated Press.
The Minnesota State Patrol says one trooper was assaulted during the protest but was not significantly injured, and several patrol cars were damaged by bottles and rocks. BLM believes video will show that Clark was handcuffed and lying on the ground when he was executed by point blank range, instead of reaching for an officer’s gun while harassing a domestic assault victim as the cops claim. Protesters have said that Clark was handcuffed when police shot him.
The state agency that’s investigating the shooting, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, said one of the things it’s looking at is whether Clark was restrained.
Jamar Clark, 24, was shot in the head during a confrontation with two officers Sunday.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office reported Clark died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
Evans said investigators found handcuffs at the scene and are trying to determine whether Clark was wearing them at the time he was shot.
Michael Brown was shot and killed after he charged police officer Darren Wilson after first attempting to disarm Wilson in his vehicle.
Evans added that the FBI would be conducting a civil rights investigation into the shooting, which Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges had requested in a letter.
The local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has issued a statement claiming that Clark was “murdered, execution style”.
“I’ve always wanted to get involved; this was the most straightforward way to do that”, she said.
“We want them to stop killing us”, Gardner said.
Harteau said after the meeting that “misinformation” is being spread about the case, but she would not elaborate.
Hundreds of protesters surrounded the 4th Precinct in Minneapolis.
Lena Gardner, an organizer with Black Lives Matter Minneapolis, said at the media gathering that she and fellow activists will stay vocal until they are heard by the authorities. The police department began clearing the vestibule at 1:50 p.m.
A few community members allege that Clarke was handcuffed when he was shot, which police dispute. A few North Side residents, including several members of Clark’s family, pleaded with protesters to remain peaceful. However, Minnesota BCA superintendent Drew Evans told reporters that none of the footage captures the entire shooting, and video won’t be released until the investigation is complete.
