Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears: Highlights, final score
A good player in a 4-3 defense, Young just doesn’t fit in as a starter in the new 3-4 defense the Bears are trying to run.
The Bears had no one to blame but themselves after suffering a crushing loss to the Minnesota Vikings Sunday at Soldier Field.
The NFC North picture will become more jumbled if the Bears can beat the Vikings today. Getting a few points, I’m compelled to back Denver, which is 24-2 at home in the regular season since Manning’s arrival. In fact, he’s on a two-year tear of charming the media. They both have the tools to be great, but lack something extra.
It was reminiscent of Chicago’s previous game, a 37-34 overtime loss at Detroit on October 18. He had a game-high 10 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown as he served as Jay Cutler’s top target once again.
On the season, the Chicago Bears (2-4) average 225.7 yards in passing and 112.0 yrds in rushing.
Cutler said he “instantly regretted” lowering his shoulder on that touchdown run. In an unrelated note, I think a pastrami on rye, a bag of chips, or a human being that can fog a mirror when put under their nose would be a better option than Sendejo right now.
RECORD WATCH: With 136 touchdown passes as a Bear, Jay Cutler needs just one to match Hall of Famer Sid Luckman’s record.
I’m still working on processing what Diggs did on his touchdown. And if the defense is taking care of business, then the crowd is quieter.
On offense, the Bears need to get touchdowns when they are in the red zone. “I just appreciate the compliment, but I’ve got to keep working, and you’ve got to prove it on the field”. He plays at max effort every single week. “We know that teams are going to focus on Adrian and try and stop the run”. He’s playing phenomenal right now.
“It’s tough”, he said. But no matter how valiantly he plays in a losing cause, the sum result of Cutler’s Bears career will always define his legacy. And that is one playoff appearance. He secured three grabs, including a fourth-and-1 conversion in Minnesota territory, to give the Bears a lead late in the fourth quarter. OL Matt Slauson made his first career start at center for the Bears with rookie Hroniss Grassu inaction.
Receiver Charles Johnson went up and came down with a 35-yard catch near the sideline with under a minute remaining. I didn’t see any holes being opened up for Peterson, so I am also putting this on the offensive line. After all, Cutler has been there more than most. “He’s going to be a heck of a player for us”.
“I’ve only played there one year, but I know last year, the game clock going out made it hard last year”, Bridgewater said.
Confidence is a powerful thing in professional sports, and Vikings kicker Blair Walsh must be brimming with it. After a disgusting start to the preseason and regular season, when fans were predicting Walsh’s leg would lose the team a game this season, he did the opposite and won one for them.
