Minor League Baseball Team Apologizes For Corey Feldman Performance
The State College Spikes, a minor league St. Louis Cardinals affiliate out of Happy Valley, has issued a public apology for ’80s teen heartthrob Corey Feldman’s post-game performance on Sunday. He has worked steadily as an adult, including voice work and reteaming with Haim in the reality show “The Two Coreys” in 2007-2008.
Spikes General Manager Scott Walker told the Centre Daily News that Feldman’s contract called for him to interact with fans, but “he simply did not want to do any of that”.

The 44-year-old’s appearance, the team said, “was not what we had anticipated”. But still, the entertainment was not what was promised and not what was expected. That experience includes scantily clad women in Leg Avenue angel costumes as well as Feldman in a white T-shirt and sequined trousers, spinning and moonwalking in tribute to his late friend Michael Jackson, with whom Feldman has a long-standing, actually kind of understandable obsession.
Instead, Walker said, Feldman was more interested in performing with his band, Corey’s Angels, which Walker described as “not exactly family-friendly”.
Feldman is scheduled to host the receipt-of-the-torch ceremony for the Special Olympics World Games on Friday at L.A. City Hall.
In fact, the performance was so odd that the Spikes released a statement on their official Twitter account, which apologized “for the appearance being so far below expectations”.
