‘Minority Report’ changes name of the Washington Redskins to Washington Red
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) – Fox’s new show “Minority Report” has settled the longtime debate over whether the Washington Redskins should change its name. For example, they’ve changed the name of Washington D.C’s NFL team to the Washington Red Clouds, naming it after the famous Lakota Chief, rather than letting it sit with the racist name it has now.
In the 2002 film starring Tom Cruise, a futuristic police department called “Precrime” uses three mutant children called “precogs” who can see the future in order to apprehend criminals before crimes actually occur.
It’s just one of the changes viewers will notice in our nation’s capital where the series is set, the show’s EP’s said.
Now grown, one of the children (Dash, played by Stark Sands) can’t leave well enough alone and is determined to help detectives like Lara Vega (Meagan Good) catch the villains. The pilot was written and exec produced by Max Borenstein, directed by Mark Mylod, and Amblin Entertainment, 20th Century Fox Television and Paramount Television will produce the series. As for the poster, it features main stars Stark Sands, Meagan Good, Nick Zano, and Wilmer Valderrama.
Minority Report premieres on September 21st – the same night as the Gotham S2 premiere.
