Mirror’s Edge Catalyst gets a new story trailer

Had things worked out a little differently, we’d be playing Mirror’s Edge Catalyst – EA and DICE’s reboot of the stunning first-person runner – right about now. As Faith, you’ll find yourself running for your life, utilising Faith’s fluid parkour skills and combat prowess. We get a glimpse into the story behind the much anticipated sequel to Mirror’s Edge and are introduced to some of the characters that’ll define Faith’s progression through the game. EA haven’t revealed the specific dates of when the beta will be held, but said the following of the announcement. Today the closed beta for the game, an origin story exploring Faith’s background, has officially opened for registration.

Requiring an EA account and a persistent online connection (the full game can be played offline), the closed beta is undated at the moment, but you can sign up over on the Mirror’s Edge website. Whatever it is, you can try before you buy and it’ll (hopefully) help the launch go more smoothly.
