Mishra visits CBI office to file complaint against Kejriwal, AAP leaders
Mr Mishra, who was water minister in Mr Kejriwal’s cabinet until last week, said the chief minister had “forgotten the founding values of the party”.
Kapil Mishra, the sacked Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister on a hunger strike, launched new arsenal today in his battle against “mentor” Arvind Kejriwal – his mother.
The decision was taken by its high-powered Political Affairs Committee (PAC) chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his official residence, capping a dramatic turn of events pertaining to the AAP chief’s financial probity.
She wrote that Kejriwal had told her once that when he first won with 28 MLAs in Delhi he had shown the MLAs a video of a neighbourhood meeting (Mohalla Sabha) conducted by her. “Whatever other politicians used to do (by filing defamation suits), Kejriwal is doing”, the ex-minister said. He submitted a complaint to Anti Corruption Bureau and then submitted three complaints to the CBI in the water tanker scam.
“Today, I am shooting an arrow at the very teacher who taught me how to shoot”, he said, adding that he learnt how to “fight corruption” from the AAP supremo.
“I’m sitting on a satyagraha till I get clarification on details of worldwide travel expenses of some senior AAP leaders”. Why had the minister concerned not revealed to the public earlier when Kejriwal accepted the money?
Meanwhile, confirming Mishra’s complaints against Delhi Government functionaries, the CBI said that the complaints will be “examined and verified”. “The second against Satyendar Jain for the illegal land deal, and third against five AAP leaders who misused funds for foreign trips”, Mishra told reporters.
Mishra challenged Kejriwal to either contest from his Karawal Nagar assembly constituency “or your New Delhi constituency”.
In 2015, the Kejriwal-led government had constituted a fact-finding team to probe the alleged irregularities in procuring almost 400 water tankers by DJB.
