Late Tuesday evening, Gutierrez took to Instagram to share a truly heartwarming and touching message to all of the individuals who have shown her support in the days after the controversial mix-up and, of course, to her home country. In her message, she thanked her supporters from around the world for giving her strength and that she felt “most fortunate” because of them, according to News.com.au.
“Our destiny is written for you”. And my destiny was this.
She went on to praise last year’s Miss Universe victor Paulina Vega, also from Colombia, saying that she was a source of pride in her country, and overseas.
‘The happiness that you must be feeling must be incredible, ‘ she wrote. “It could happen to the best of us”, Shapiro continued. “Thank you for all your LOVE SUPPORT and KINDNESS”. “This was a terribly honest human mistake and I am so regretful”.
The drama surrounding Miss Universe 2015 is still not over.
“Then people from the Philippines were screaming and Colombians in the crowd were booing but it was terrible because Miss Colombia didn’t speak very good English so she didn’t understand what had just happened”.
‘It is my mistake, ‘ he said after holding up the card for the camera. “I feel awful”, he wrote.
The president was watching Miss Universe with his family and they already started huge celebration when Harvey stated Colombia had won the Miss Universe title for the second straight year. He said that “Miss Philippines came to win, and Miss Colombia came to lose”. And a Colombian law firm says it’s preparing a lawsuit against the pageant.
Missosology also posted another viral clip of an interview with Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Riek, who claimed that none of her fellow beauty queens was rooting for Ms Wurtzbach. “Secondly, I’d like to apologize to the viewers at that I disappointed as well”. As well as the wonderful contestants.
