Mississippi health officials confirm first West Nile Virus death of 2016
A Hinds County resident has died of West Nile virus, state health officials said Thursday.
Avoid areas where mosquitoes are prevalent.
The ground fogging operations were scheduled for 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, through 2 a.m. the following morning. “We are now in peak West Nile season in MS, so all residents should be mindful of protecting themselves, regardless of whether there has been a case reported in your county”.
