Here are more details from Yahoo!
And Missouri didn’t waste any time suspending Mauk after the video was released. Less than two hours later, Mauk was indefinitely suspended from the team by head coach Barry Odom and director of athletics Mack Rhoades, multiple sources reported.
Video showing Mauk sniffing what appears to be white powder and general consensus is cocaine has led to the man being indefinitely by the school.
The nine-second video surfaced on Twitter Monday night with an accompanying tweet that mentions Mauk by name, but there was no confirmation from Missouri that the video shows the quarterback.
“We are now gathering information regarding the video in question”, Odom and Rhoades said in a statement. Rhodes and Odom said it is an issue that they take very seriously and that Mauk will remain suspended until the investigation is complete.
The Nov. 1 suspension came after Mauk engaged in a dispute outside a Columbia, Missouri, bar. “We till take appropriate action once we have all the facts”.
Mauk was suspended for four games during the 2015 regular season for violating undisclosed team rules, then again for the remaining four games after he was briefly reinstated.
This is Mauk’s third suspension in four months. In 28 career games, he has completed 52.7 percent of his passes for 6.7 yards per attempt, with 42 touchdowns against 19 interceptions.
Odom had reinstated Mauk to the team on December 23.
