MJ, on if he’d beat LeBron 1-on-1 in his prime: ‘No question’
Michael Jordan went up against plenty of trash talkers in his day, but the biggest one of all might come as a surprise.
When the first session ended, Jordan’s question-and-answer session featured a courageous (or horrifyingly disrespectful, take your pick) youngster pointing at MJ’s shoes and asking the viral question, “What are those?!?!”.
The six-time National Basketball Association champion and Finals MVP also talked about the debate started by former Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O’Neal, who stated that the all-time Lakers would crush the all-time Bulls. And he thinks they would have killed us. Jordan laughed. Obviously he was going to say that.
I, along with everybody that was in that draft, wanted Kwame Brown because of his athleticism, his size, his speed. “He was still a talented 18-year-old, 19-year-old kid”. He has a true love for the game of basketball. Jordan has been busy this summer by adding Frank Kaminsky and Nicolas Batum to the Hornets’ lineup, and it looks like Charlotte has a legitimate chance to get back into the playoff hunt. I absolutely have a high regard for him… even though he stole all my moves, but that’s OK.
There was really no stone left unturned here.
