Mkhitaryan joins Mourinho revolution at Manchester United

The 27-year-old Armenian worldwide, whose contract with Dortmund is due to expire next year, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, with Sky Sports saying United have already agreed a £26.3m fee for Mkhitaryan.

27 year old Armenian seems to get better with age, after a season which saw him score more than 20 goals and 20 assists.

Mkhitaryan has not yet agreed on personal terms, passed a medical examination or received a British work permit.

Mkhitaryan had a year left on his contract with Dortmund, but the German side have accepted the offer from United despite appearing to be far from happy about the situation.

German newspaper Bild claim the Armenia worldwide will arrive from Borussia Dortmund for a €42m (£35m) fee and pocket a €8m (£6.2m) signing-on bonus.

Dortmund inadvertently announced Mkhitaryan’s switch to United before backtracking, deleting a post on their website which suggested a move was imminent, but it is expected to go through nonetheless. “And we would only have delayed finding a successor by another year”.

Last season he scored 18 goals last season in the Bundesliga, Europa League and the German Cup.
