Mobile and Drake team up for a amusing Super Bowl ad
Drake, 29, just dropped his Super Bowl 50 commercial for T-Mobile and it’s absolutely hilarious.
But how exactly was T-Mobile going to top last year’s video in which Kim Kardashian bemoaned the injustice and the cruelty of data limits? I don’t care how many times I’ve heard it. I’m sticking by that.
In the ad, Drake is performing some of his signature moves from his hit “Hotline Bling”, a song, basically, about cell phones. “I love changes”, Drake says sarcastically, “These changes don’t ruin the song at all”. Taking the song’s main lyric, “You used to call me on my cellphone”, the ad uses it as a jumping off point to poke fun of other cellphone company’s hidden fees, massive contracts and more.
Make sure you check out the Super Bowl commercial above, and keep your eyes peeled for it on game day, too! “Switch to T-Mobile – the uncarrier”.
Beyond the Super Bowl ad, February stands to be a huge month for Drake, as the Toronto native serves as a host of sorts for the upcoming NBA All Star Weekend held in his homtown.
