Modern Readers: Vine for iOS Now Supports HD Videos, Discovery Options
Owned by Twitter, the Vine app has just been updated to make it easier to find fellow subscribers that you might want to follow. Thanks to the update it will now be simpler for users to eke out the most popular Vine creators they wish to follow. These Suggested Viners’ list has been painstakingly curated by the team at Vibe to ensure that these creators have content worth following. Click on the Find People icon on the top-left corner, and you will see the names of Vine users that you probably have something in common with.
Previously, users could hook in their Twitter and Address Book to find their friends on the app. But with the new update, users will be able to venture outside their friend group and Twitter network to find folks on Vine who post frequently and post high-quality content.
This is the second time this year Vine has allowed for better-quality videos, having announced in March that it will be slowly rolling out a new feature that would bump up video quality from 480p to 720p. However, this feature is now only available for iOS users.
A new setting has also been thrown into the mix, where you can now check out your Vines in 720p High Definition glory, which is a vast improvement from the existing 480p.
You will be able to make a download of the new Vine app for the iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms for free.
