Modi in Dubai: India, UAE to establish ‘strategic security dialogue’, boost
Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar on Monday issued the joint statement by India and UAE. He further said that terrorism based on the grounds of religion is unacceptable.

A joint statement by the two governments said the UAE would help India develop strategic petroleum reserves in addition to its upstream and downstream petroleum sectors.

Both are to establish a dialogue between their National Security Advisers and their National Security Councils.
They also agreed to strengthen cooperation in law enforcement, anti-money laundering, drug trafficking, other trans-national crimes and extradition arrangements.
India warmly welcomed UAE’s decision to participate in global Fleet Review in India in February 2016. They denounced and opposed terrorism in all forms and manifestations.
They also agreed to promote cooperation in cyber security, including “prevention on use of cyber for terrorism, radicalisation and disturbing social harmony”. Both the countries called on all nations to “fully respect and sincerely implement” their commitments to resolve disputes bilaterally and peacefully, without resorting to violence and terrorism. “It was agreed that they would set up UAE-India infrastructure investment fund with a target of $75 billion”.
According to news agency WAM, the fund will support investment in India’s plans for rapid expansion of next generation infrastructure, especially in railways, ports, roads, airports and industrial corridors and parks. Modi and the Crown Prince agreed to cooperate in peaceful uses of nuclear energy including in areas like safety, health, agriculture and science and technology.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) indicated support towards the charges of cross-border terror raised by India against Pakistan.
