Mollie Tibbetts died from ‘multiple sharp force injuries,’ according to preliminary autopsy
The White House Twitter account posted a video with the emotional accounts of people whose family members had been killed by immigrants who entered the country illegally.
Law enforcement officials have told reporters that Rivera was Mexican and in the country illegally. “This is a murder story”. This is one instance of many. An ICE spokesman told The Associated Press there’s no evidence of him having “any immigration status”.

In a statement released Wednesday, Tibbetts’ family said, “Our hearts are broken”. “They would be horrified”. She thought he was a nice, well-spoken person. Anyone could have done this. “They’re playing with people’s lives. It is awful that they do these crimes”.

Rivera responded to those statements by calling Patrick a “bottom-feeding politician”.
Reding, Tibbetts’ friend, said that she had seen outrage building online over claims that Rivera is undocumented, but that she hasn’t focused on it.
“Our employee is not who he said he was”, Lang said at a news conference at the farm.
Tibbetts was killed by a 24-year-old immigrant from Mexico who has been living in the United States for between four and seven years.
Rivera allegedly confessed to following her and then panicking when she threatened to call police.
The next thing he remembered was being in his vehicle and then realizing that her dead body was in his trunk, her head bloody, according to the arrest affidavit.
She said her family received an outpouring of love from people of all races, religions and ethnicities during the search for her niece. He led investigators to the remains, which he covered in corn stalks on a corn farm rural Poweshiek County. Local authorities described him on Tuesday as being undocumented.
Earlier this week, investigators said they were uncertain how she died pending the autopsy, and they’ve made no mention of recovering a murder weapon. “We need the wall, we need our immigration laws changed, we need our border laws changed”.
