Mom posts Snapchat of boyfriend pointing gun at her head before death

KARK reported that she also sent a Snapchat photo showing her smiling at the camera while her boyfriend, 20-year-old Rafael Gonzalez, held a gun behind her head. In one of the snaps, the gun is close to Hernandez’s head.

The photos were taken on Sunday.

North Little Rock police are investigating the murder of 21-year-old mother Stephanie Hernandez, who was found shot to death in her home Sunday.

The next day, Gonzalez, 20, was arrested and charged for first-degree murder, police said. It is unclear whether Gonzalez has an attorney.

Another relative told local station KATV that Hernandez had just moved in with the boyfriend and other roommates three weeks prior, and the relationship was known to be rocky and “off and on”.

Stephanie Hernandez’s family was horrified to learn that her last photo would be one with her alleged murderer pointing a gun at her head. “I wanted to tell her. I wanted her to come with me, actually, when I left”.

According to police, a friend claimed Mr Gonzales “accidentally shot” his girlfriend and that he “routinely plays around with a pistol”. Facebook Stephanie Hernandez leaves behind a 3-year-old and 8-month-old daughter. I was just here with her yesterday! ‘I don’t understand how anybody can do that’.

When officers arrived, they found Hernandez’s body.

“My nieces have been crying all night”, Hernandez’s sister Camryn Startz told KATV. “She knows something is wrong because she wants her mom”.

Family and friends, like Jaquinlan Davis, told Channel 7 News Hernandez’s home was ransacked.
