Monday Forecast: Warm today with rain holding off until after dark
It’ll be breezy, very warm with a record high temperature likely. We’ll continue to see the mercury drop into the weekend with temperatures dropping into the upper 40s and lower 50s for afternoon highs Friday through Sunday. Expect a mix of clouds this morning with rain moving in late this afternoon and evening.
Cloud cover will stick around for much of the day although some sun is possible especially south of I-70 with highs in low 40s along the Nebraska border and mid to upper 40s along and south of I-70. That should warm temperatures into the low and mid-60s.
On Monday of next week, an area of high pressure helps us climb to the mid 40s. Forecast high: 74°. (Record is 71° set back in 2001) Rain Chance: Increases to 60% by afternoon.
Wednesday will be mild with highs in the mid-70s with increasing clouds in the afternoon.
There’s a 50 percent chance of rain Tuesday. It will be a pleasant day with highs in the mid-70s and mostly sunny skies.
Cooler air starts to settle in by Thursday and we could see snow flurries by Friday.
SUNDAY: Lots of sunshine, still chilly. It will finally feel like December again!
