Monday, October 12 Midday Forecast
Much of the week will be spent under mostly sunny skies with above normal high temperatures. A break in the clouds arrives this evening around sunset, but it will be brief as more clouds come tonight. The overwhelming majority of us won’t see any rain at all today.
A cool front will bring plenty of clouds and the chance of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms to Acadiana early Tuesday followed by cooler conditions, mainly at night. Despite sunshine, highs will only make it to the middle 50s. Those in the Tri-Cities and south should remain dry.
After a seasonably cool start, temperatures will warm up to above average levels this afternoon.
Those summer temperatures returned for at least one day as our next cool front is already poised to change things for the better over the next 24 hours. Tonight will be clear with a few light and variable wind.
Highs for the entire week will continue in the mid-upper 80s while night-time lows reside mostly in the mid-upper 50s, briefly reaching the lower 60s Friday morning. Highs hold in the lower 60s.
