Monroe helps Bucks beat Pistons 109-88
Six Milwaukee players scored in double figures. Forward Giannis Antetokoumpo had 17, shooting guard Khris Middleton 16 and forward Jabari Parker and point guard Michael Carter-Williams 12 each.
Drummond finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds, for his 13th double-double in 14 games, but he didn’t have much help beyond Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who had 10 of his 17 points in the third quarter. He walked slowly up the court holding his left side after trying to defend Monroe.
Greg Monroe made 4-of-10 from the field against for 11 points the Pacers during a 123-86 loss on Saturday, adding 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and two turnovers. He signed with Milwaukee as a free agent on July 9.
The loss marked the third time in second-year Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy’s tenure with the team that Detroit has lost by 20 or more points.
In the first meeting between the former Pistons big men, Drummond got another double-double, but the Pistons defense couldn’t hold up, and the Milwaukee Bucks took a 109-88 victory over the Pistons on Monday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Pistons: Darrun Hilliard, the 38th overall pick in the 2015 draft, made his Pistons debut at the start of the second quarter…. IN sliced through the Bucks “D” for 50 points in the paint, while hitting 15-of-30 3-point shots.
Bucks: Milwaukee was 24 of 48 from the floor in the first half…. The Bucks beat Detroit for the fourth consecutive game.
