Montee Ball charged with two misdemeanors
Prosecutors had charged Ball on Monday with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, for an incident at a downtown Madison hotel early Friday. This was at Madison hotel early Friday morning. She landed on a table and suffered a cut on her leg that required stitches. Ball and his girlfriend were arguing and he picked her up throwing her into the air.
According to the complaint, the woman told police Ball HAD also hit her across the face “out of nowhere” on February 1. DeSpain says Ball cooperated with officers. He said he pushed his girlfriend, but did not know she was injured.
Pro Football Talk reported Tuesday that the Patriots released Ball.
The woman told police she was afraid something would happen, and backed away from Ball when he came in, telling him, “You’re scaring me”. That incident is the one for which Ball is charged with battery, where the disorderly conduct charge is associated with the incident at the Hampton. In any case, the running back’s time in New England is officially over. New England was his second team, as he previously played for the Denver Broncos through two seasons.
