Moonachie family offers up to $10000 reward for information on Clifton hit-and-run
“She’s our baby sister and we need to bring her home”, said Gina Semioli.
A devastated family is hoping $10,000 in reward money can help find the driver was responsible for a hit-and-run crash on Route 46 in Clifton that gravely injured a 22-year-old Moonachie woman.
A family friend and a relative raised the $10,000, Gina said.
Anna Semioli was hit while walking east on Route 46 near the Valley Road intersection in Clifton sometime after midnight on Friday, police said.
Based on her injuries, Semioli’s family said it was likely she was hit by a large vehicle such as sport-utility vehicle, and it should have significant damage.
“They don’t have much to go on”, family friend Barbara Morales told Daily Voice. Martino described the long-haired accounting major, a senior at Montclair State, as a “free spirit” who also “loves adventure”.
Danielle Martino, a childhood friend, said Semioli had plans to meet up with people at school that night and her auto was found parked on a campus lot.
“She’s just the sweetest person”, said Martino, speaking by phone from the hospital.
“I’m upset but I’m so angry that someone could do this to her”, Martino said.
‘Number two is finding out who did this to her’.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s office and Clifton police have also urged any witnesses to come forward.
