‘Moonlight’ wins best picture… after ‘La La Land’

“I’m gonna be really proud to hand this to my friends from Moonlight”, Horowitz graciously said, and the rightful film’s cast and crew took the stage to accept their award.

And when one viewer spotted DiCaprio holding the Best Actress envelope that he handed to Emma Stone for La La Land, which preceded Best Picture, she had her suspicions.
Before the ceremony, PricewaterhouseCooper’s Brian Cullinan and Martha L. Ruiz touted the honed process they follow in an interview with MarketWatch.
Meanwhile, Emma Stone’s win for her endearing turn in “La La Land” continued a trend of young actresses winning for their roles in Best Picture nominees.
“Ideally, we like to have everything completed several days before the show. Awards come and go”.
‘The presenters had mistakenly been given the wrong category envelope and when discovered, was immediately corrected.
Which somehow didn’t happen Sunday night.
If you turned off the Oscars at midnight and went to bed out of boredom, are you going to be sorry.
So, while the crew of La La Land is certainly disappointed that they did not win the coveted prize, they can at least rest well knowing that they were also not a victor of the Golden Raspberry Awards.
“I can’t even begin to describe to you the pandemonium this caused – and is still causing tonight”, Georgie, who attends the Oscars every year, wrote in a Facebook post after the show.
Jenkins added: “The last 20 minutes of my life have been insane”. Dunaway apparently thought Beatty was intentionally hesitating for dramatic effect, so she jokingly said, “You’re impossible”. “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time“, he said. No one knew what the hell was happening. “I wanted to see the card to see the card”. “Me and Warren handled this great”. And so he did. And he’s like, ‘No, Barry Jenkins has to see the card. “And right after I did, the president (Dave Kaval) retweeted it, so I think it will happen”.
“I wanted to feel compassion for him”, Jenkins explained, “I’m pretty sure the first thing I do when I get up onstage is give him a hug because it couldn’t have been easy”.
