As the Sunday award show was coming to a close, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were presenting the final award.
As those involved with the movies up for the Best Picture award at Sunday’s Oscars were sitting on pins and needles, most people at home were just ready for the show to finally end.
When it became clear that La La Land hadn’t won, a gracious Horowitz fought through the shock and disappointment to ensure Moonlight basked in its Oscar moment. “Oh my god, he got the wrong envelope”, the LA Times reported.
