More dense fog on the morning commute
Warmer weather is on the way….As we move through this Thursday, expect areas of patchy morning fog to give way to a mix of sun and clouds for the rest of the day. Combine that with increasing southerly winds, and highs will be headed for the mid 50s by afternoon!
Although it will be partly sunny on Friday, there is a risk of severe thunderstorms late Saturday into Sunday morning, the service said.
The expectation as of now, is that the second low will track far enough west of Mid-Michigan on Sunday and Sunday night, to keep us on the warmer side of the system. Plan on highs in the mid to upper 70s!
Cooler weather will arrive Tuesday-Thursday with highs dropping back into the upper 50s, which is still slightly above average for December.
On Thursday night, we’ll have another piece of energy cross over us with more clouds. Each day highs will rise as we will flirt with the 80 degree mark by Saturday. Lows near 60°. Light south wind. We will see a brief and slight dip in highs to about 50 on Friday as a small pocket of relative high pressure edges over the Great Lakes. Saturday will be dry before rain chances begin to increase on Sunday.
A few isolated showers can’t be ruled out but we’re keeping the chance of rain low at 10%. Low temperatures will be around 40 degrees.
