More Evil Dead Movies? Bruce Campbell Just Said This
Director and EP Sam Raimi, who helmed the original “Dead” franchise, said he would gladly direct another film if Campbell was signed on to the project.
“It would be silly of us to rip the fans off by doing a watered-down version of the series”, Campbell said Friday at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour.
Starz has released the first look at Xena and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. veteran Lucy Lawless in their upcoming event miniseries, Ash Vs. Evil Dead. These teaser images, available for viewing via Comic Book Resources, seem to be hinting at a amusing, blood and gore-packed show.
“Most zombie films or TV shows have to do with the monsters being the stars. We can identify with him”. The only problem is she believes that Ash is the cause of it all.
Apparently, this just a little uneasy looking woman is called Ruby, and also the sounds somewhat of items she’ll be supplying Ash (Bruce Campbell) with the exceptional new friends equally as much hassle as your Deadites that they would could happen to face.
On the other hand, Lawless also talked about her anti-hero character, saying, “She’s got a family history and a chip on her shoulder”.
He said: “This series will force us to make more movies”, he hinted.
Campbell insisted that “no matter what we give them it will never be enough”.
With a cast rounded out by Mimi Rogers, Ray Santiago, and Jill Marie Jones, the first season of Ash vs. Evil Dead is set to run for ten half-hour episodes, premiering on October 31, 2015.
