More eyes on Nicki Minaj wax figure
A wax statue of Nicki Minaj in Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas has been the subject of controversy since it was put in pride of place in the visitor attraction in July.
After a flurry of provocative fan photos in inappropriate poses with Nicki Minaj’s wax statue, Madame Tussauds has chose to redesign the Las Vegas display. “It is unfortunate that this visitor chose to behave so inappropriately and we apologise for any offence this has caused”.
“Madame Tussauds attractions are interactive, immersive experiences, and our visitors are generally respectful towards the wax figures. We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area”.
However, Nicki didn’t seem bothered by the photographs after she uploaded one to Instagram, captioning it: “Naw bitch hold on”.
The waxwork, which features Minaj in a pose on her hands and knees taken from her Anaconda video, was installed earlier this month.
Now many people all over the world are calling rapper Azealia Banks a prophet as she had hit out against the statue when it was first produced, admitting that she believed people would defile it.
The Madame Tussauds museum chain is known for life-size wax replicas of celebrities that guests can interact with. “Why not standing up with a mic in her hand???”
“I would complain and ask for a do-over”.
But there was a problem with the statue – they decided to depict Minaj on all fours, which is a fine for her to do in the video, but pure photo-op bait for immature visitors of the museum.
