More showers and thunderstorms, but slightly cooler
As you wake up today, be prepared for lots of sunshine and temperatures in the upper 50s. Most spots are running about 5° cooler than yesterday morning. Highs by this weekend are expected to be in the mid to upper 60s.
Thursday: Breezy with plenty of sunshine. Winds should be out of the north at 5-10 miles per hour. But a strong cold front will provide windy conditions followed by a cool-down Monday.
Tonight the skies clear and temperatures drop to the mid 40s setting up a chilly night.
LOOKING AHEADSunshine returns for the start of next week, but rain showers are possible. Temperatures stay hot for Thursday with highs in the 80’s and 90’s. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 90s Saturday and Sunday.
A dry air mass will remain in place with dew points mixing out each afternoon so rain chances remain low through the remainder of the workweek. So even though mid-90s are in the forecast, it’s likely the heat index stays below 100.
Saturday: Partly cloudy, chance for an afternoon & evening showers/thunderstorms.
