More snow in forecast for Monday morning commute and beyond
Snow will accumulate 1-3 inches by Monday night with additional accumulation expected through Thursday morning.
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Middlesex, Windham, New London counties, while a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven, and Tolland counties.

We could also see a few lingering snow showers Wednesday, with a cold blast expected to send daytime highs plummeting in the back half of the week.
Temperatures Tuesday morning will range in the high 20s and low 30s for the morning low, and temps will not rise above the mid-30s for the high across north Georgia, according to Burns.
The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow…which is in effect from 4 am Monday to 7 am EST Tuesday.
Fairfield/New Haven/Middletown/New London counties: Another 2-3 inches of snow is likely on Tuesday and into early Wednesday.

As the low pressure builds in the Atlantic, sending snow into New England, a second wave will come across the Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic states, with its heaviest impacts occurring in areas of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia that are away from major cities. Snow could be heavy from morning to early afternoon. A Snow accumulation of 4 to 8′ is possible for the counties in the warning.
Notice the shape/orientation of the snow showers on the Futurecast map below and if you closely at the snowfall total map – they nearly match up. Blinding snows will be noted at times, and those could drop a quick inch or two for some areas.
The biggest concern for shore towns is coastal flooding, which the storm is expected to cause Monday and Tuesday. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. East wind 3 to 5 miles per hour.
