More World of Final Fantasy Shown

Square Enix has released a new batch of screenshots for World of Final Fantasy, which you can see below. These creatures can help to turn the tide of battle to aid Reynn and Lann, the heroes in this game.

World of Final Fantasy is a fresh take on the franchise, combining the classic RPG mechanics introduced with the NES Final Fantasy and combining some interesting and lively and endearing visuals. Players will lead a pair of twins through varied Final Fantasy worlds and encounter the adorably familiar monsters therein. Also returning are familiar summon monsters (known as Mirages) such as Ifrit, Shiva, and Ramuh.

The world iteslf will feature different dungeons and fields, including a special train with a cactuar conductor. The idea is to bring newer and younger players into the fold with a family-friendly Final Fantasy game, without alienating older fans.

World of Final Fantasy will be released on PlayStation 4 and Vita next year. The whole thing’s packed with colour, and those little sprite-like faces are just far too cute for their own good.
