Morgan Amalfitano leaves West Ham After fallout with manager Slaven Bilic
A statement released by West Ham on their website read, “On Tuesday, Morgan Amalfitano left the club by mutual consent”.
It’s emerged that West Ham boss Slaven Bilic tried to persuade Dick Advocaat not to quit his post at Sunderland. That is changing what we are delivering particularly from my experience in the Premier League.
The majority of West Ham supporters were opposed to the move away from their beloved Boleyn Stadium – still fondly known as Upton Park – to the Olympic Park.
Bilic revealed in August he had disciplined the Frenchman for a “breach”.
Amalfitano had his moments for the club, making a total of 32 appearances and scoring three goals, all vital ones.
The manager went on to say if he saw anything threatening harm to the atmosphere or breaking the set club rules then it has to be stopped.
He scored in last season’s superb home wins over Liverpool and Manchester City as well as notching in the victory over Hull City.
Amalfitano also clashed with Allardyce when he was sent off just 10 minutes after being brought on as a substitute against his former club West Brom in Ferbruary.
